Let There Be
Light!
With the help of an
extremely generous Anonymous Donor, the West Boylston Arts Foundation
recently
provided a gift of $6,000 to the
School Department to
specifically upgrade the Middle/High School Auditorium stage lighting. Although not exactly dating back to Thomas
Edison, the auditorium lighting did include stage lighting fixtures
installed
in days of JFK’s administration. Some
lights were so old that the right bulbs are no longer available, and
the system
had serious limitations that hindered certain theater productions. The modernization of the auditorium lighting
will not only benefit the school students, but will also be used for
town
meetings. With the upgrade, the school
and town will also save on further repairs and upkeep to an antiquated
system
that was reaching the twilight of its lifespan.
Thank you, Anonymous Donor!
