 West Boylston 200th Anniversary 1808 - 2008 Celebration

The West Boylston 200th Anniversary Celebration is a year long event.  Throughout the year, there are numerous events planned to celebrate the bicentennial of the town of West Boylston.  Please visit wb200.com for more information.

The Visual Communications Class of West Boylston High School Helps Celebrate the West Boylston Bicentennial.

The Visual Communications Class at West Boylston High School is providing a gallery of photographs from students participating in the class.  These photographs will be on display in an exhibit for the bicentennial celebration.  Photographs were also provided as reference for the students participating in the Mosaic Mural Project at Major Edwards.

The Visual Communications classes at West Boylston High School teach students how to be creative in the art of photography, and how to apply this art to the science of webpage publishing.  The class is responsible for maintaining the school's website. This class is yet another example of how arts will be impacted by the budget crisis our schools must face.  This program is in jeopardy.

These beautiful photographs of the Old Stone Church are just a small sample of the Visual Communications gallery.  Please visit their website at http://www.westboylstonschools.k12.ma.us/Visual%20Communications.htm

Although Visual Communcations is about applying visual arts to science, the Bicentennial Project is an education in history, as students are assigned projects to photograph objects and places of historical significance.
